As the Managing Partner and founder of Dundee VC, established in 2010, I bring a wealth of experience in fundraising, sourcing, and leading investments. My entrepreneurial journey began at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I sold colored moccasins to fund a spring break trip—a venture that taught me valuable lessons in product quality and customer satisfaction.

My career has been diverse and dynamic, including roles as an investment banker and a popcorn distributor. In 1997, I co-founded Giftcertificates.com, marking my entry into the startup world. Subsequently, I co-founded Hayneedle, a company backed by Sequoia and Insight Venture Partners, which successfully exited to Jet.com in 2016, before Jet's acquisition by Walmart.

Identifying a critical gap in early-stage capital for early stage startups, I launched Dundee Venture Capital in 2010. Today, Dundee manages over $100 million and has made fifty investments, focusing on partnering with the most promising technology entrepreneurs between the coasts at their earliest stages.

My hands-on experience as an operator sets me apart. I've bootstrapped, scaled, and exited companies, and I've done the same on the investment side. This dual perspective equips me with the empathy and drive that CEOs seek in a trusted advisor. My approach is grounded in real-world experience, ensuring that I provide actionable insights and strategic guidance tailored to your business needs.

I am also the first Nebraska-based member of the Kauffman Fellows (Class 22), highlighting my commitment to fostering entrepreneurial talent. Beyond business, I have led the BPHL’s (Beer and Pretzel Hockey League) Team AU to ten consecutive championships, demonstrating my dedication to teamwork and leadership in all areas of life.
